In Ricardo Scofidio's 2nd year studio at Cooper Union, André Soluri analyzed a 1960's vaccume cleaner revealing it's exosceletal structural system. As the system is unwrapped it reveals a juxtaposition between curved and orthogonal pieces which are abstracted in a final steel model.
