This proposal for the Pentagon Memorial represents an act of ascension for the 184 victims at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. The design is intended to project a strong, powerful image, yet be able to engage visitors and family members intimately. The proportions, angle of incline, number of piers, and principle dimensions are all based on values or dimensions relating directly to the tragedy.
