Patrick Soluri is a multi-talented composer based in New York City who specializes in dramatic music for orchestra, ballet, opera, film & TV. His love of telling stories through music is evident in his large body of work and commissions for the stage, screen and concert hall. FANCY NANCY - Children's Ballet
A children's ballet commissioned by the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet and based on the "Fancy Nancy" children's books by Jane O'Connor. The ballet is choreographed by Francis Patrelle and will premiere in Akron, Ohio on March 13th and 14th, 2010 at the beautiful Akron Civic Center and will have additional performances on May 8th, 2010 in New York City at Symphony Space.

  • NEW BALLET for BERLIN!
    Patrick was commissioned to compose the score CONTINUUM by the Staatsballett Berlin, one of Europe's leading ballet companies, for dancer and choreographer Xenia Wiest's ballet, "To Be Continued." This ballet was featured in the Staatsballett's program "Shut Up and Dance: Reloaded!" which premiered January 15, 2010 followed by 10 additional performances through July 2010 in Berlin, Germany at the Komische Oper Berlin. Performances: January 15th & 23rd, February 3rd & 8th, May 30th, June 7th, 8th & 28th, July 8th, 10th & 11th.

  • October 1st, 2009, was my CARNEGIE HALL debut, a sold-out performance of my 10-minute opera "FIGARO's LAST HANGOVER." It was performed by the Remarkable Theater Brigade as part of its program, "Opera Shorts," at Weill-Carmegie Hall.

  • I received an official Certificate of Recognition from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (they do the Emmys) for my work as an Orchestrator and MIDI Synthesist on the 3rd season of the hit children's show, The Wonderpets, which won a 2009 Emmy for best music. (more info here)

  • Much of my orchestral music has been placed in non-exclusive Film & TV music libraries, with tracks licensed to various shows on TLC, LOGO and DISCOVERY HEALTH in the US, UK and Canada, as well as on the hit show "America's Got Talent."

  • NEW OPERA
    Patrick has been commissioned to compose a one-act opera by the American Lyric Theater based on the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. It will be work shopped and performed throughout 2010 and 2011, dates coming soon. 2009 marks the 200th Anniversary of the birth of one of America's most treasured literary masters, Edgar Allan Poe.
